WorkplaceFirst Aid – Intermediate Level (16h) – CSA Z1210-17 Compliant
Upon successful completion of this 16-hour IN-PERSON intermediate-level first aid training, the candidate will receive a valid certification that meets the requirements of 'Intermediate First Aid Training' as defined in the CSA Z1210-17 standard.

Texas follows the federal OSHA rule (29 CFR 1910.151(b)): no fixed ratio, but employers must keep adequately trained first-aiders on staff, reachable within minutes.
Texas childcare licensing (26 TAC §746.1315, HHSC) requires every caregiver and director to hold pediatric first-aid & CPR within 90 days of hire, with a certified person always on site.
Under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code §74.151, anyone giving good-faith emergency care in Texas — including AED use — is shielded from civil liability; there is no legal duty to rescue.
Texas nurses meet the Board of Nursing's continuing-competency standard — 20 contact hours every two years, or an approved national certification — and recognized CPR/BLS counts toward it.
In Texas residential care (assisted living, nursing homes, home health), staff must hold current CPR, and entering nurse-aide training (HHS NATCEP, 100 h) requires healthcare-provider-level CPR.
Texas foster families must be certified in pediatric CPR & first aid before a child is placed (Tex. Admin. Code Ch. 749) — one parent before placement, a second within 90 days — with hands-on testing and 2-year renewal.
Online CPR and first-aid training is recognized in Texas; OSHA doesn't ban it, and blended (online theory + hands-on) is recommended. 3-year certification.
